Policies
Class Withdrawal & Refund Policy
Dancers shall be permitted to withdraw from classes, without penalty, until October 31st. Requests for withdrawal from one or more classes must be made by the Dancer or Parent/Guardian in writing with a Withdrawal Form which can be obtained at the studio. Upon such withdrawal, within the time frames permitted, tuition shall be pro-rated for the class session. No refunds shall be made for withdrawals not timely made and the dancer and Parent/Guardian shall remain responsible for the full annual tuition. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Summer Training Refund Policy
No refunds or credits shall be made for unused classes or withdrawals from summer enrollment. The dancer and/or Parent/Guardian shall remain responsible for the full tuition. Missed & Make-up Policy applies to Summer Training as well.
Minimum Enrollment
There must be at least 7 students enrolled per class. If the minimum enrollment is not met, the class may be canceled or combined with a similar class.
Missed & Make-up Classes
Make-up classes are available for absences due to illness or other personal reasons during regularly scheduled classes; provided, however, missed classes must be made-up within two (2) weeks of the absence and can only be made up in a class of the same dance discipline, of equal or lower level. No refunds/credits are given for dancers missing class, classes canceled due to inclement weather, missed classes due to vacations, Holidays and/or days off.
Attendance
Dance requires discipline and consistency. For this reason, we expect students to attend class every week. When a student misses a class, it not only hinders their performance, it hinders the overall progress and cohesiveness of the group. If a student misses more than 10% of their classes, they will unfortunately not be able to participate in the recital at the end of the session.
Class Etiquette
Dancers are expected to come to class physically and mentally prepared to dance. Respect of instructors and fellow students is essential.
Inclement Weather
In case of bad weather conditions, always call the studio at 410.313.8199. We will also make every effort to update our website as quickly as possible. We do not always follow Howard County School Closings. However, please do not feel obligated to travel to class if you are uncomfortable with the weather conditions. There will be no make-ups for inclement weather unless numerous cancellations occur.
News and Information
b.funk makes every effort to keep everyone informed. At least once a month an e-mail blast is sent highlighting all important information. This information is also included in the News section of our website. We will also post flyers and all pertinent information on the board in our studio. However, if at any time you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask at the front desk. Our staff will be happy to help.
