B.Funk Dance Company


Our goal is to provide a professional quality dance education that brings confidence, discipline, and a strong sense of commitment to our dancers.

Competitive Teams

b.funk is proud to offer two competitive/performance dance companies. These talented groups of dancers are selected through an annual audition process to represent b.funk at numerous events, competitions and conventions nationwide. They are committed to a more intense training schedule which focuses on improving their technical skills for staying competitive in the world of dance. Our Company and Crew are comprised of students who have a real passion for dance and hunger for learning and performing.

The Company
Members are required to train in all dance disciplines including but not limited to, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hiphop, and Lyrical/Contemporary. Students will focus on technicial skills and abilities while concentrating on enhancing their stage presence and performance qualities. Members are required to enroll in our Pre. Professional classes as well as additional rehearsals throughout the week/weekend. This is geared toward students ages 5 & up who are highly motivated and dedicated to improvement.

2010-2011 Company Auditions will take place Saturday, June 19th at 12:00pm. Dancers should be prepared to learn combinations in all dance disciplines including but not limited to, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hiphop, and Lyrical/Contemporary. The Company

The Crew
Members of this crew are required to take at least 3 hours of Hiphop classes a week and are encouraged to enroll in other styles as well. Students are introduced to all styles of Hiphop from commercial to breaking to freestyle. This is geared toward students ages 7 & up who are interested in a challenging dance atmosphere and more performance opportunities.

Crew Auditions will take place Friday, June 18th at 6:00pm. Dancers should be prepared to freestyle as well as learn an advanced combination to demonstrate technical capability as well as the ability to pick up stylized choreography.
