The B.Funk Dance Company was created to share the art of dance with the Baltimore Community, to cultivate dancers' talents and promote physical wellness.
We offer classes in four studios for all levels of students
ages 3 to adult.
Dance styles include: Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Technique/ Ballet,
Creative Movement, Breaking and Hip-Hop

FACULTY
Becky Funk - Owner/Director
has been dancing for over 23 years. She has trained with world renowned choreographers in HipHop, Jazz, Tap, Ballet and Lyrical. She has been teaching all styles of dance for 15 years. She has won numerous dance awards and titles throughout her career. She graduated with a Health Science Degree from Towson University were she was captain of the TSU Dance Team. After her vision for bfunk dance company became a reality, she partnered with her husband to create the worlds only all hiphop traveling dance convention, "Monsters of HipHop." This convention brings together the most talented and accalimed choreographers in the industry in an effort to provide real opportunities for aspiring hiphop dancers. Besides watching her students develop a love for dance, her proudest achievement is being a mother to her sons Drew and Cooper.

Regina Gregonis
danced with the Mt. Hebron High School Dance Company and then the Villa Julie College Dance Team, were she was honored to be captain for both groups. She has performed at various places such as the Howard County Dance Festival, Walt Disney World Resort, New York City and several East Coast Dance Competitions. Regina choreographed award winning hip-hop routines for the VJC Dance Team that allowed them to become regional champions. In 2005, Regina graduated from Villa Julie College with a BS in Early Childhood Education. She now coaches and still choreographs hip-hop routines for the VJC Dance Team and is a school teacher at The Odyssey School in Stevenson, MD.

Kate Newhouse

is a dance artist who has a passion for teaching and studying all genres of dance. Dancing now for over 20 years, Kate holds a B.A. in dance, from DeSales University in Center Valley, Pennsylvania where she studied under the direction of Vincent Brosseau. Growing up in Baltimore County, Maryland, she first gained dance foundation at Kinetics Dance Theater and then moving to Ballet Royale Academy (Institute of Maryland). During her high school years, she continued to study under the direction of Donna Harrington-Piedel and was also pleased and honored to be accepted into the arts magnet school, Carver Center for the Arts and Technology. Here she studied ballet, modern, and dance academia under Amanda Thom-Woodson, Elizabeth Ahearn, Ken Skrzesz and Jayme Klinger Host, all faculty of Goucher College. Kate choreographed modern and contemporary ballet works for the student company, Inertia. She also performed with Inertia’s parent professional resident company, Surge. During Kate’s senior year, guest modern choreographer Amy Marshall conducted a two week intensive workshop, culminating in an original dance, Askew in which Kate was a featured dancer. During her high school years, Kate began to teach as a student teacher and choreograph as an assistant choreographer at Ballet Royale. All these experiences solidified her love of dancing, teaching and choreographing. Kate has returned to the Baltimore/Washington area to give back what was generously given to her, and inspire others with her love for the art of dance.
